HI, I’M DR. SCOTT LIVINGSTON. I’M GLAD YOU STOPPED BY!
I’m the president of Livingston Consulting Group where we partner with professionals to help them reach their potential in the workplace and meet their goals.
Through leadership training and executive coaching, we customize leadership development plans for each client. I put a focus on emotional intelligence in my training programs because it has proven to improve leader's execution and performance in their organizations.
Many of my clients have expressed that I work with “heart and edge,” meaning that I’m friendly and engaging with clients, but also hold them accountable to their performance objectives. When you work with me, I will strive to make an immediate connection with you, get to know you well, and foster trust in our relationship. It is my hope that this level of trust will establish accountability that will allow me to ask you the tough questions that will act as catalysts for your growth and development.
I have had the pleasure of working with clients from Genentech, IU HEALTH Partners, Genzyme, Dover Manufacturing, JM FAMILY ENTERPRISES, JACKSONVILLE AVIATION, ELI LILLY, DERMIRA, DANAHER CORPORATION, Manulife, KREG TOOL, M.K. MORSE, BELAY, D-Squared and more.
Before launching my business in 2006, I was a sales manager at Eli Lilly. In my role there I was responsible for leadership development, design, and delivery. It was an honor to receive both their Leadership Coaching Award and distinguished Master Performer award, being recognized as a practical guide for leaders faced with difficult coaching situations. My experience at Eli Lilly revealed to me that passion for leadership development was something I wanted to share with others full-time.
I completed my doctorate in organizational leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University in April 2012, where I now I serve as Adjunct Professor of Leadership Development. I am also an adjunct professor at Huntington University at the graduate and doctorate level. I graduated from Drake University College of Pharmacy where I earned the distinguished Lemon Pharmaceutical Leadership Award, and received an M.B.A. from The University of Illinois, Springfield.
As a leader, I believe it’s important to keep myself mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy.
Mentally: I am always reading a book. My favorite genres include biographies and historical fiction. I also make time to unplug from work and life’s demands to spend time with my family, especially my beautiful granddaughter.
Physically: My wife and I stay active together by attending a weekly boot camp class at a local Anytime Fitness gym. We’ve also enjoyed training for races as a family. We’ve participated in the PurpleStride 5k, WipeOut! Run, Indy Mini-Marathon, and the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Orlando with my daughter. (Themed races are a fun, motivating way to stay active. I’d recommend any of the races that I mentioned!)
Spiritually: I take time each day to pray and read a daily devotion. I also serve as President Emeritus at African Hope Incorporated, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the health and education of Sudanese Refugee Children.
